昨夜の黒肉を最後に、ガスオーブンもガスコンロも死んでしまったので、あさごはんは外で食べてきた。ひさしぶりすぎてひとり分の量の多さを忘れてたよ……。くるしい。

ちなみにガスオーブンは取説のトラブルシューティングガイドを読んでブレーカーをリセットしたけどだめで、アパートの管理事務所は祝日でお休みだし、年中無休電話番号は留守電だし、緊急時コンタクトも誰も電話に出んわ。ひさしぶりのアメリカン・モーメント。昨日前夜祭でごちそう食べておいてよかった、でも、あああ常備菜作れない…来週平日の夕飯とお弁当がぁぁぁ……。と途方に暮れていたら、猫が紙袋の取っ手を首にひっかけて家中を走り狂い、クローゼットのいちばん奥にひきこもり、しばらくして出てきて毛玉を吐いた。

そんな独立記念日の朝。夜は Shoreline Amphitheatre に花火見に行くんだ。

Neither gas stove nor gas oven wasn’t working, so we ate out this morning. The leasing office is closed today, 24/7 support went straight to voicemail, and emergency contact didn’t answer. frown emoticon And then, my cat Canola got a handle of a paper bag hang on to her neck and went nuts and ran around the house. This is my 4th of July morning. I hope I have fun and enjoy the fireworks at Shoreline tonight.
